Dan’s journey into the world of television and writing began early in life when he attended an arts magnet school in the 4th grade. This passion continued to grow, and by the 5th grade, Dan had the unique opportunity to meet and interview then-Florida Gubernatorial candidate Jeb Bush during a school visit.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Dan’s background in journalism has been foundational in his writing career. He has always had a love for sports and sports writing, and throughout his time at UCF, he covered a variety of professional and collegiate sporting events, including UCF basketball and baseball games, Atlanta Braves Spring Training, and Orlando Magic basketball. One of Dan’s most memorable experiences from high school was winning a contest to do the sports report on the morning show of a local rock radio station in the West Palm Beach, FL area where he grew up.
In addition to his passion for sports, Dan has written extensively on mental health, addiction, and recovery topics. He has contributed his writing expertise to reputable golf outlets, including Links Magazine and Golf Unfiltered, and has also worked with substance abuse and mental health facilities throughout the country. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs associated with addiction recovery.
